How the WIM Hof Method saved my life

My father past away in Dec 2021 and the year 2022 started like a roller coaster. Me in the midst of my grief over my father, busy at work and the world turned upside down.

One day I found myself driving to get lunch and all of sudden I felt dizzy. I was able to stop the car, but lost consciousness.

The Doctor confirmed that physically everything was fine, so I knew it was time to get serious about my mental health.For months I was familiar with the WIM Hof Fundamentals; I took cold showers, I was practicing the breathing almost daily and I went for weekly plunges in the Ocean with the Seacows*, but I needed something more. Something that allowed me to experience the true nature of myself and the spirituality of my mind. I finally found it during the first WIM Hof Retreat in Portugal with the wonderful WIM Hof Instructor Isaac Mullins.

The positive effects of the WIM Hof Method have been shown in key scientific studies. The WHM breathing likely improves lung capacity/function, drives Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) movement, modulates cerebral blood flow (CBF) and increases brain/CSF pH which could address physiological changed associated with AlzheimerĀ“s Disease.

As a scientist I believe in experimental data, but in this case I did not need a publication to be convinced of the positive effects. I experienced it myself.
